West Barnes Bunting

A community textile project for the centenary to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Motspur Park station on 12 July 2025. Individuals and groups are creating printed flags in workshops led by textile artist Sarah McAlister, to be sewn into strings of bunting that will be displayed at the station and across Motspur Park. We are using repurposed textiles and materials and after the centenary celebrations the bunting will be retained as a community resource for free use at future public celebratory events such as street parties, fairs and jubilees.
