Print + Stitch Together at NEMCA

This project, funded by the Wimbledon Foundation, launches in October. A sewing group, which we are running with Little ARK, will meet on Fridays at NEMCA (North East Mitcham Community Centre) to produce items such as tablecloths and aprons to be printed up in block-print workshops on Saturdays. The finished items can then be used by the centre. There will also be an opportunity to create a textile artwork that will go on display at the centre. 

The workshops are free, all materials are provided and you don’t need any previous experience to take part. The block-printing workshops are suitable for ages 5+, and the sewing workshops for ages 16+.

Impressions of Nature 3

Impressions of Nature is a series of workshops in which participants will develop their creative skills, working with a variety of printmaking techniques and natural materials. Each week they will create a bank of images that they can use in the final workshop to make an artist’s book that they can keep. A selection of work will be compiled into a joint artists’ book, made available in a local library.

For adults 16+, no experience necessary, all materials provided. Venue: Canons House & Grounds, Mitcham.
