Print + Stitch Together at NEMCA

A series of free blockprint and sewing workshops. Participants in the blockprint workshops created patterned fabric that was turned into functional textiles such as tablecloths and tea towels by participants in the sewing workshops, as well as a textile artwork for NEMCA.  

We wanted to foster individual creativity and community cohesion, with everything made by people who use NEMCA for people who use NEMCA.  One participant said, “I feel more a part of NEMCA because of the items we helped to make for the centre. ”
